The vibe
Uchi ('house' in Japanese) is the Wynwood location of James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole's acclaimed non-traditional Japanese restaurant group. The space is moody and polished — warm woods, intimate lighting, and a buzzing open sushi bar. Happy hour is genuinely one of Miami's best deals: the bar and dining room fill up fast starting at 5pm. The Signature Tasting ($120 for two) is widely considered a steal and is a cult favorite. Clientele skews foodie-creative class and date-night couples. Reservations strongly recommended even for happy hour. Valet across the street.
