Houston's premier Southern cocktail bar, awarded the James Beard Outstanding Bar Program (2022). Founded by bartender Alba Huerta, Julep is an ode to the history and hospitality of Southern drinking culture, housed in a lush, plant-filled Washington Ave space. Golden Hour (daily 4–5 PM) brings $10 cocktails, wines, and neat pours; Mondays add all-day $1 raw oysters; Fridays extend to 7 PM with $5 wines.
